Tonight I’m drinking Mischief from The Bruery in Placentia, California. This was sent to me by Oscar at The Everything Show. This is a hoppy Belgian style ale according to the can, and that is a spot on description! Imagine a solid Belgian Blonde that hooked up with some American hops on Tinder and this is the result. Mischief has a pale, straw like color. The aroma to me is more of the Belgian yeast than the hops but the taste is what gets you. It’s a wonderful marriage between the malt, hops, and yeast. You get all three without any component overpowering the other. Really good carbonation here with a slightly bitter after taste. Not sure if this is available all over, I’ve seen some of their offerings around Chicago, although I’m not sure if this was one of them. I without question will look in the future though. Mischief is a sneaky 8.5% ABV that goes down easy. If you see this near you, I’d grab it. A really good beer! I gave it a 7.98 so let’s round up to an 8. Thanks again Oscar!
