Casa Humilde Mangazo

I know I said that I was going to stop the Hazy IPA’s for a while, but one of my favorite breweries, Casa Humilde released their Mangazo one with Mango so my arm was twisted….

Mangazo is a Hazy IPA with Citra and Amarillo hops with added Mango. This is a 7.5% beer that is another solid effort from Casa Humilde! It looks like an orange juice pouring with a very hazy orange/golden color. The aroma for me is all mango but the taste is excellent. Really nice mango flavor along with the citrus from the Citra and Amarillo hops, there is a nice bitterness to this that I wasn’t expecting in a Hazy IPA. For me, this drinks more like an IPA than a Hazy, which isn’t always a bad thing. Casa Humilde keeps making solid beers and like I mentioned before, they are one of my favorite Chicago breweries. Whatever they release, I’m going to try it!

New episode of the podcast will drop Wednesday with Part 1 of my interview with Lauren from the Beer’d Al Podcast. This was so much fun, we had a great time talking for both of our shows! Part 2 will come out Friday!
