Tonight I’m having a cider from Uncle John’s called Melded. On the latest episode of the podcast, Cider Brian of Chicago was discussing this one in detail and he sold me on this! Melded is a terrific cider that has a wonderful flavor from the blend of American, French, and English cider apples. It has a nice tart bite to it, but it is not overwhelming at all, it balances well with the sweetness from the apples. Melded is lightly carbonated and has a good dry finish. If you are looking for a change of pace from a beer, I would definitely recommend this one. It’s sold in 500ML bottles with an ABV of 6.5 % and is around $6.
