Tonight I’m having the coffee version of Liquid Spiritual Delight (LSD) from 2nd Shift Brewing out of St Louis. Wow! I’m a big fan of this one. LSD has a terrific color and a great tan head on it, the coffee hits me in the aroma and makes me glad I’m not going to wake up at 3:30 AM tomorrow for work. The taste on this is killer! I really get the coffee and malt from this with a little chocolate in there for good measure. I’m getting a little tang at the end, and not astronauts drink this tang or Pootie Tang, but a little tang at the end that seems to dissipate as the beer warms up. This is one I highly recommend!

LSD is an Imperial Stout brewed with Blueprint Coffee, it clocks in at 11.5% ABV and is really a beer you should check out.

If I lived in St Louis, I’d be sitting at 2nd Shift all the time. Everything I’ve had from them has been great, the people who own it are great and if it wasn’t for the whole Blues/Cardinals thing and the way they eat bagels in STL, my fat Chicago ass would move there in a minute to support them!
